At Canterbury Biltong we stand by our products and guarantee their flavour and freshness.
With several hundred retail outlets and thousands of satisfied mail order customers we take great pride in continuing our tradition of producing great tasting biltong that is delivered on time, at a price that keeps you, our customer happy, yet leaves enough left over for us to continue feeding the hungry machine that Canterbury Biltong has become as it continues to grow and grow.
Orders are dispatched the day after payment is received and usually take between 1-3 working days to arrive anywhere within New Zealand.
Overseas orders take a little longer but usually arrive 10-15 days after dispatch. Different postage costs apply.
We replace any products that are found to be defective through packaging failure, although this is now a rarety since we switched to high specification vacuum pouches for all our biltong and bierstick products
Storage information
Biltong is a dried product and can, and will, last for months (if you don’t demolish it straight away - usually the case) if stored properly. Once opened, remove from the plastic and store in a paper bag or in an open container in a dry place like the pantry.
It will get drier the longer you keep it but will still be tasty and safe to eat.
If it is very humid, wetter biltong can get a mould on it if left in the plastic too long.
This can be wiped off with a solution of vinegar and water.
